With the introduction of the convoy its possible to intercept.
First, i wonder if its possible to introduce interception to the tactical gameplay.
Second, this could bring an other dynamic into the game (your are never safe...). So its to decide if we like that or not
If the idea is realistic and welcomed we could thhink about the conditions: should it always be possible, are there special requirements of defences against it etc. Chronomatter could play a role in that
what do you think? _________________ “All war is deception.” |

Here is an old topic about the subject, with the opinions of several players back then. I like the idea, so long as it is balanced and it's not incredibly easy to intercept fleets. Can we get a poll on this?
@admin: You said it was impossible back then. I don't think you can use that excuse now. _________________

the ruthless is an interesting solution.
Furthermore we can introduce fleetshielding as a defence against interception, with shielding ships and 'de-shielders''. _________________ “All war is deception.” |

or warp disruptors and warp disruptor disruptors.
it could even work like so that if you are online, you get a warning if someone tries to intercept you and then you can cancel it out by changing course.
that would be the mechanic of interception, right? that the intercepted fleet flies to nearest coords? |

within a certain range , one or two sectors fe. you should be able to intercept. So get near it or get out of range.
For this iit would be nice to be able to speed up at any moment, using chronomatter. _________________ “All war is deception.” |

Maybe Chrono Matter should be required to intercept a fleet? Or perhaps you can only intercept a fleet with a faster fleet, which would still make Chrono Matter more-or-less a nesscessity for intercepting.
As for intercept-shielding ships: cloaking, for one thing, will already prevent you from being intercepted; unless, they have a well placed Decloaker accompanying their intercepting fleet. _________________

yes good idea cloud. its logical that a faster fleet can intercept a slower one. |
