The answer was a bubble. Its too small for ten men to carry it, nothing on the inside, nothing on the outside. And light as a feather. _________________

Out of the eater came something to eat.
Out of the strong came something sweet. _________________

Ok I know what it is:
And he saith to them: 'Out of the eater came forth meat, And out of the strong came forth sweetness;' and they were not able to declare the riddle in three days. _________________

Yes, that's just a different translation. I like the one I used more though sounds more like a riddle. _________________

dude... that's just algebra
son = s, daughter = d, man = m
s = d + 3
m + 1 = 6 d
m + 10 = 14 + s + d
so for 2nd one: m = 6d - 1
sub in for the third one: (6d - 1) + 10 = 14 + s + d
sub in 1st one for that: 6d - 1 + 10 = 14 + (d + 3) + d
6d + 9 = 17 + 2d
4d = 8
d =2
so the daughter is 2, the son is 5, and the man is 11?
dammmnnn someone hit puberty fast |

Ok, I made a mistake when I solved it or I just wrote down the 'riddle' wrong here
Anyway you are right. Here is a nice riddle:
Hiding within, there can be 28
More or less builds the pearly gate
Holes inside, filled with gold
Silver bridges can these guys hold
Strong and sturdy are these chaps
Clean them up, or else silver caps _________________

How about this one... the riddle of the sphinx.
In the morning, I walk on 4 legs, in the day, I walk on 3, and at night I walk on 3 legs.
What am I? |

A Family Tree... however I admit to looking on Yahoo Answers .
Erm...
A man rides to town on Saturday (Today), he will stay two nights, then he will go home 9:00am, Wednesday. How does this happen? _________________

Hmm MJ, the answer to my riddle was not a family tree. This riddle is from the book The Hobbit and the answer was a mountain.
The answer to your riddle is that he rides on a horse named wednesday? _________________

No, his horse is named Saturday, and he arrives on the day Monday. I think. (Otherwise, MJ made a small mistake)
While exploring the wilds of Canada, George was captured by hostile wood fairies. Zion, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. George found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation. What is the one statement he could have made? _________________

"I will be boiled in water."
A black dog stands in the middle of an intersecton in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time? |

It was during the day and the sun was shining.
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town
And beats high mountain down. _________________
