battering ram (class 1 ship)
this is a very dangerous two stage ship, consisting of a remotely controlled battery-drone and a very small pilotship that is equipped with cannon capable of launching a special photonic weapon known as a demi-bomb. when this ship gets its turn, it first fires a demi-bomb, halving the shields of one enemy vessel, before remotely launching the battery into the weakened enemy ship. the crew of the pilotship then retreat and return home. (caution! recycle!)

If I may say so, I am really proud of this one. Its simplistic and sleek but very effective and original. (I hope?) Its designed as the anti-Bulk fighter and the E-Ray's really good offensive ship, but would be extremely dangerous in interclass battles, which is why I felt it nesscessary to add the recycle syntax, to add to its drawback. Thats up to the players though, if you guys feel its out of balance speak up! Maybe it shouldn't recycle at all? Bah! Actually, at second glace, I forgot to add the recycle syntax at the end altogether! Doh.
What do ya'll think?
Side-note: My original name for it was "Battery" which could mean pretty much the same thing as battering ram and I think it sounds a little more e-ray-ish. _________________

very nice one but i think it is not so easy to balance...(i guess 3mp is too low)
or it needs some other drawbacks because these little fellas can demolish a class 3 fleet in seconds.
how about it only works on class 1? |

Yes definitely needs some tweaking. That really sunk in on me after inventing it. 5 of them would take out a cruiser and 8 would take out a mothership.
vs C2 its not that terribly out of balance. 2 would take out an average c2 = 6mp v. 8mp. Still, the idea of it being a frightening ship vs. C2 is sort of appealling to me because it is a niche fighter that loses 3x points against the basic fighter and even against its intended nemisis (the bulk-fighter) it only goes tit-for-tat, but that could be the inventer's vainity coming out.
Perhaps it is a good candidate for the ! syntax you suggested. Would makings its effect not work on BASIC C2, ANY C3 or ANY C4 be a good balancer? _________________
